The Apisith & Alliance international trade legal team used its renowned experience and expertise in representing Thai exporters cooperating in foreign anti-dumping investigations to secure a competitive edge for client, Thainox Plc., in India’s stainless steel market. On November 24, 2009, India’s Directorate General of Anti-dumping and Allied Duties announced its final findings in the anti-dumping duty investigation concerning imports of Cold Rolled Flat Products of Stainless Steel. Thainox obtained the lowest anti-dumping duties of all investigated exporters and countries for series 300 products, and was amongst exporters with the lowest duties imposed on series 400 products. 

          In coordination with our associate Indian counsel, our team was able to assist Thainox in preparing comprehensive questionnaire responses, and conducting a very productive on-site verification, which resulted in significantly lowering Thainox’s dumping margin from the Preliminary Findings to the Final Findings. This positive result keeps Thainox a step ahead of the competition and upholds its reputation as a fair trader.
